The Alabama and Mississippi ASLA Chapters have partnered together for fifteen years to host the TSC – with conference locations alternating between the two states. Over the years, attendees have enjoyed spending time in a variety of cities, including Oxford, Starkville, Tupelo, Huntsville, and Birmingham.
The TSC provides continuing education opportunities to landscape architects and design professionals in the region, as well as opportunities to network and socialize within the design profession. Each year’s conference strives to offer twelve or more continuing education units (CEUs), with at least half of those credits qualifying for health, safety, and welfare (HSW) units.
In addition to the educational sessions, the conference hosts an expo each year. Our vendor partners from across the southeast attend and give conference attendees a chance to speak with product representatives to learn more about industry specific products and services.
Attendance at the conference averages around seventy-five attendees and twenty-five vendor partners. Most years students from Auburn University and Mississippi State University join professional attendees. While many of our speakers are regional, we have hosted several nationally acclaimed designers and writers, as well as national leaders from ASLA over the years.
