The mission of the American Society of Landscape Architects is to lead, educate and participate in the careful stewardship, wise planning, and artful design of our cultural and natural environments.  The Twin States Conference is a partnership of the Mississippi and Alabama Chapters of ASLA, established to promote these goals; to showcase the beauty, culture and history of each state; and is the Chapters’ primary fundraising activity each year.

Conference Tips

UPTOWN is Birmingham’s fresh new take on entertainment.  Just down the street from the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, the district attracts locals and convention visitors to enjoy a variety of dining selections.  Texas de Brazil, Cantina Laredo, Todd English P.U.B. and The Southern Kitchen & Bar are just the beginning.  Other bars and eateries serve up good dining selections, from gourmet burgers and premium steaks to custom cocktails and fresh-roasted coffees.  Convention guests are delighted with the convenience of the district to their meeting and lodging facilities.  Local folks like the conviviality of the crowd and the ease of moving from one location to the next. For complete information on businesses in the UPTOWN district, go to UPTOWN.
